On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, AIRO (Mr. TOMITA Executive Director of JTTRI-AIRO and his team) had a meeting with Dr. Pichet KHUNADHAMMARAKS Director General, Department of Rail Transport (DRT).

AIRO expressed its sincere appreciation for the opportunity to meet with Dr. Pichet Khunadhamaraks, Director-General of the Department of Rail Transport (DRT), at the DRT headquarters. During the meeting, AIRO conveyed its gratitude for the constructive discussions held in October. On this occasion, DRT and AIRO jointly confirmed the theme of the 2nd Thai–Japan Railway Workshop, “Decarbonization in the Railway Sector,” and agreed to schedule the workshop for January 2026. AIRO looks forward to further strengthening its cooperation with DRT in the field of railway development.
