On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, AIRO (Mr. TOMITA Executive Director of JTTRI-AIRO and his team) had a meeting with Mr. Athibhu CHITRANUKROH Deputy Director General, Department of Rail Transport (DRT).

AIRO expressed its sincere appreciation for the opportunity to meet with Mr. Athibhu CHITRANUKROH, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Rail Transport (DRT). The meeting focused on the final preparations for the 2nd Thai–Japan Railway Workshop, including confirmation of the program structure, key discussion topics, and coordination arrangements. On this occasion, both DRT and AIRO reaffirmed the workshop theme, “Decarbonization in the Railway Sector,” and confirmed the schedule for upcoming week. AIRO looks forward to continuing close cooperation with DRT to ensure the successful implementation of the workshop and to further strengthen collaboration in the railway sector.
