Meeting with Assoc. Prof. Apiwat RATANAWARAHA, Deputy Director of Chulalongkorn University Transportation Institute (CUTI)
On Friday, January 22, 2026, Mr. OKUDA Tetsuya President of AIRO, Mr. TOMITA Akihiro, Senior Research Fellow and Executive Director of AIRO, Mr. TAKAGI Susumu, Research Fellow of AIRO, and Dr. TAKESHITA Hiroyuki, Research Fellow of JTTRI-HQ, had meeting with Assoc. Prof. Apiwat RATANAWARAHA, Deputy Director of Chulalongkorn University Transportation Institute (CUTI), and Dr. UCHIYAMA Yosuke, Research Fellow of CUTI.
During the meeting, AIRO and CUTI exchanged views on the current state of road-based public transportation in regional cities across Thailand. The discussion also covered Japan’s road-based public transportation systems, including financial support mechanisms and practical examples from various regions. In addition, AIRO shared detail on recent Thai-Japan Railway Workshop. AIRO sincerely appreciates CUTI’s cooperation and continued support of its research activities.
