On December 4, the Construction Committee (Chair: Mr. HIGA Shinichi, Thai Konoike Co., Ltd.) held a lecture featuring Mr. TAKAMATSU Shunsuke from the Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute ASEAN–India Regional Office (JTTRI-AIRO). The lecture was delivered under the theme “Recent Developments in High-Speed Rail Projects in Thailand and Southeast and South Asia.”

During the session, Mr. TAKAMATSU provided an overview of the current progress and challenges of high-speed rail development in Thailand, as well as related urban redevelopment initiatives in major city areas. He also shared the latest updates on high-speed rail projects in other countries in the region, including Indonesia and India. The event offered participants valuable insights into the evolving landscape of high-speed rail development across Asia and the broader implications for infrastructure planning and regional connectivity.
