On Tuesday, July 7, 2026,  Mr. TOMITA, Executive Director, Mr. SHIROKI Takeshi the newly appointed Executive Director had a meeting with Ms. Siriwan PORNLERTWIWAT, Director of Strategy and Planning Division, Office of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS)

Mr. TOMITA congratulated Ms. Siriwan on her recent appointment as Director of the Strategy and Planning Division. From the JTTRI side, Mr. SHIROKI the newly appointed Executive Director, the successor to Mr. TOMITA as Executive Director of JTTRI-AIRO, was also introduced to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports (MOTS). Both sides exchanged views on the history and achievements of the Thailand–Japan Tourism Working Group, providing an opportunity for the newly appointed representatives to familiarize themselves with the cooperation between the two organizations. The meeting also included discussions on possible themes and areas of focus for the next Working Group. With new leadership on both sides, JTTRI-AIRO looks forward to bringing new perspectives and approaches to the upcoming Working Group and further developing Thailand–Japan cooperation in tourism. JTTRI-AIRO sincerely appreciates its longstanding relationship with MOTS and looks forward to maintaining and further strengthening this close cooperation in the future.
