Toward the realization of sustainable tourism in both Japan and Vietnam, in 2023 in Hanoi, Vietnam, the topic of “Overtourism at Major Destinations and Development of Satellites -Vietnam and Japan working towards Sustainable Tourism-” was discussed, and in 2024 in Tokyo, Japan, the topic of “The 2nd Japan- Viet Nam Tourism and Human Exchange Event Balancing tourism development and preservation of cultural heritage site -Japan and Viet Nam working towards sustainable tourism-” was discussed as a tourism and people-to-people exchange event.
In this third event, we will introduce the current status, challenges, and initiatives aimed at ensuring that destinations, visitors, and tourism sector all benefit, by preserving and developing destination's culture and history for the future and utilizing them as tourism resources, and will engage in discussions.
Tourism plays a crucial role in maintaining and developing the unique cultural and historical heritage of both countries in a sustainable manner, enhancing the added value of destinations, and enriching the experiences of visitors. Through the discussions at this event, we aim to achieve high-quality tourism that prioritizes sustainability and contribute to a wide range of fields, including culture and the arts.
